We always go out to Bridgeport to trick or treat with our nieces and nephews, but my brother's family was going early and my SIL's family was going to their church's trunk or treat.
Lance got home, and I put the boys in their outfits, and I realized that Maddox's $4 outfit from the dollar tree was as pitifult as it should have been.
For $4.
From the Dollar Tree.
I am minutes from my girly time, and I was in tears over how terrible it was.
But there was no time to make a trip to Target...
And I tried talk him into wearing his cammo and beard from his gnomeo costume from last year, and being one of the guys from Duck Dynasty, but he wasn't having it.
He wanted to be a knight, and Beckham was going to be his dragon.
So we rolled with it.
And made a last minute decision to try and catch up to my brother.
My SIL even brought her babies by for a few pictures too.
We had a great time.
And now that I look back at the pictures, I don't think he looked that bad.
And I am mad at myself that I let my emotions trump the moment, which kept me from taking millions of pictures of him like I did in the past.
But it is what it is.
And here are the pictures I got!
it looks like yall had a great time and both the boys look as cute as ever!! ~leslee
ReplyDeleteToo cute. Hunter had a turtle costume very similar to the dragon. My favorite costume. And there was a book character it looked like so I made him wear it for character day. It might have been too small by then but oh we'll. Franklin. That's it. Great memories. Thanks for sharing yours to trigger mine. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought I recognized that hand held shield. I bought Boyd one from DT also, and a plastic knife, that broke after a day of playing. Figures. Kevin always reminds me of why things break when I get them at the dollar store. I love your pictures, and just remember, we've all let our emotions get the best of us. I have been there a hundred times. It looks like it was still a fun night, and I am sure the boys enjoyed it all!
